STAY COOL WITH KHAO CHAE – A ROYAL THAI DISH

1-30 April, 2024 at Sapphire Bar, The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok

As Bangkok heats up, join us for one of the most refreshing and traditional treats to enjoy at this time of year – Khao Chae.

Originally a royal cuisine, the name derives from how it is served: “khao” means rice and “chae” means to immerse in water. Our Thai chefs first boil the rice and then serve it immersed in icy cold jasmine-scented water. Accompanying this is a range of flavourful side dishes that perfectly complement the rice: shrimp paste dumplings, stuffed sweet chilli, fried shallots, caramelized dried turnip, shredded sweet pork and sweet crispy fish.

Khao Chae is available a la carte from 1 – 30 April for Baht 890 nett per set. This year, you can also order Khao Chae for delivery with souvenir basket for Baht 1590 nett per set for one or Baht 1990 nett per set for two. One day advanced booking is required.

If you have yet to try Khao Chae, it is the best and most delicious way to beat Thailand’s summer heat, and is available for your enjoyment at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.
