SUSTAINABLE THROUGHOUT

The Sukosol is proud to be a certified Green Hotel and a Green Leaf member, with many of the green initiatives we implement throughout the hotel consequentially supporting more environmentally friendly meetings.

For example, in our hotel, we have:

• Switched to energy-efficient lighting
• Added water-saving regulators to all bathrooms
• Monitor and treat waste water
• Removed single-use plastics

GREEN MEETINGS

In addition to these initiatives, our green meetings offer a number of opt-in opportunities for event organizers to be more sustainable:

• Switch from individual water bottles to a refreshment station
• Switch from individual pencil and paper to a stationery station
• Set the meeting room aircon to 25°C
• Switch to live plants and not cut flower decorations
• Coffee break snacks featuring dishes from the local community
• Use a projector for logo backdrop instead of paper/card
• Donate excess food to charity
• Compost food waste (fruit & vegetables)
• Recycle used coffee grounds into soap

CARBON NEUTRAL EVENTS

The Sukosol is also proud to work with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) to support Carbon Neutral events at no extra cost to organizers. Your meetings total carbon emissions will be calculated using TGO’s carbon footprint tool and The Sukosol will purchase the equivalent carbon credit to offset this footprint. After the meeting, your company will receive a carbon neutral certificate from the PEA.
