SUAN PAKKARD PALACE

We recommend a stroll around the Cabbage Patch Palace, aka Suan Pakkard, which is conveniently located opposite the hotel.

This beautiful enclave includes a garden, eight traditional Thai houses and museum, housing beautiful Ban Chiang era pottery.

Take a five minute walk behind the hotel to Soi Rangnam and discover Suan Santiparp, a peaceful park oasis. From 05:00 onwards scores of locals stream in to take their morning exercise: jogging, aerobics, tai chi, badminton, yoga, speed walking.

Visit the former house of the late silk tycoon for a true beauty of Thai architecture and a stunning collection of rare Asian artifacts. All six teak houses set in the lush-jungle-like garden show the very authentic Thai architectural style during the past centuries. In the area there are also an Art Center exhibiting rotating exhibitions and the Jim Thompson Store selling silk products.
